Ok, maybe two (Thank you Peter and Warner). Sorry, I've been blogsent (my new word) for a while but life has been crazy, fun, exciting and disappointing. "Owen Meany" is now up and running and with gusto! The Washington Post apparently gave us a great review. I don't read reviews myself until after the run is over, so I can't say for sure what it says. But I hear it's good. I love working on the show and at Round House. A big theatre can really spoil you and make you a bit lazy in the process. There's always someone who can and will take care of everything for you. Really not used to it, but I have quickly learned to get accustomed to it! I know that I will greatly miss this show. It has a fun and strong cast and crew. I mention the crew on this because this show is a technical beast. I hope everyone gets to see it. They are starting to talk about an extension. This I would love since I don't have anything to go into after it closes. Speaking of....Auditions....I was so thrilled a few weeks ago I had three auditions, well, supposed to. First, I was called by The Shakespeare Theatre to read for the role of Tyrrel in Richard III. I was supposed to read for Michael Kahn. (would have been my first time) Well, the day before the audition the casting director called and canceled saying that Michael had cast the role in NY the weekend before! ARGH! Then, I was called to read/sing for the lead role in "A Man of No Importance" at Bay Theatre in Annapolis. I told them I had a conflict with a week during the rehearsal schedule (We're going to Paris). They said "no problem" as they were in a bind. Well, that was the story until the morning of the audition. When I got there they said they didn't know how they would work it out. Now that kinda bothers me as I drove all the way to Annapolis on a Saturday morning (had to be there at 9:30am) before a two show day at Round House of a three hour show! Rather inconsiderate if you ask me. But as a consolation they wanted to know if I would be interested in doing "The Full Monty" for them if/when they do it next year. Not sure about that one. Don't really want to strip for that little bit of money (Special Appearance Contract) and it's a very intimate theatre (50 some seats). Now the last one. Imagination Stage. I went to an audition for "Junebug and the Reverend." Well, I had to run to make it to the audition because we were in tech (10 of 12's to be exact) that day. I talked a fellow cast member into going as well. Well, he ended up getting the part I read for! So much for being Mr. Nice Guy. So, three possibilities and I end up with nothing. Sometimes I wonder about all this. So, now I'm looking forward to my next audition, which I hope will be for the Kennedy Center. If they call me back with a time for "Carnival." We'll see. Maybe my work with the illusionist all those years ago will have some benefit? So now the home front. Things are a little crazy here too. Seems we had a bit of a leak in a water main in our ceiling. So now, we have to have our entire house re-piped because of polybutelene pipes. Not only a nuisance, but expensive! Just got the quote.....$4,025.00! yippee. At least the huge hole in the ceiling will go away. We'll also have a 25 year warranty should anything happen again. OK, enough for the the return blog. I promise I'll try to do better Peter. :-)

Happy Birthday Warner

Well, as I mentioned in my last blog, good friend and director Warner Crocker is turning 50! I believe the actual epiphany is today, so everyone raise a glass of vodka and give a toast to a great guy! Thomasin (Warner's wife) managed to throw guite the party on Sunday night for him. Andrew made it out and I was of course already there. We unfortunately didn't make it through the whole party (which I hear was something else after we left) we had to get back home for work on Monday morning. Well, Warner has a lot to be proud of. He has really made an impact on a lot of lives (mine included). Go to Warner's blog and see some great pictures of the event! See you soon, my friend! and again Happy 50th!!

first day off

Well, I'm home for my first day off since we began tech for "Lying In State." The show is going very well in spite of the "not really great" script. Andrew joined us for opening night last night and the audience seemed to love the show. So, it's not my type of humor, still funny for those watching and that's what really counts. My good friend Warner (who's turning 50 soon) posted this site on his blog www.everyhit.com You can find the number one single and show album on your birthday. Well, any day for that matter. You can get a whole list for every year, but 43 years is a bit much for me to post here. So, without further ado...... the #1 single on my birthday........"She's Not You" by Elvis! The number one cast album........"West Side Story"! Interesting, not sure why though, hmmm? So get out to Wayside and catch a very funny show...............

Back at Wayside

Well, I'm back at Wayside Theatre. I'm thrilled about being back here. It's nice to be back with some 'ole friends and to get to know some new folks. A new director too! I'm back with the always funny Larry Dahlke and the incomparable Faith Potts (we worked out here on "The Inportance of Being Earnest" two years ago) and of course our wonderful stage manager Malia. One of the interns has now become staff there as Assistant Stage Manager. It's nice to see Natalie's hard work has paid off with a job! The show is "Lying in State" and I'm playing a sleazy Gov. Is there any other kind? Everyone seems right for this show. The script on the other hand, needs some work. A lot of one-liners in search of a plot! A lot of BIG characters, not a lot of substance. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring it to life. I'll keep you posted. By the way....the Hybrid is fantastic!

New Car!

I can't believe it. We finally have a new car! Over the weekend Andrew and I went "looking" at SUV Hybrids. Well, we ended up buying one! A Mercury Mariner. It's a 4x4 fully loaded, bright "fire" red with tan leather/cloth interior. I've wanted a SUV for a long time now, but with gas prices being what they are it had to be a Hybrid. It's already beating my old '94 cavalier in mileage! Yes, the cav is gone. We donating the car to the Humane Society as the dealership kinda laughed at it as a trade in. I'll get more in a tax write off than I would have gotten on a trade in and I don't have the patience to try to sell it on my own. So the next time I see you, look for the fire red Mariner!!!!

Strange but True

Andrew and I attended the wierdest wedding this past weekend. It was held at the Summit Point Race Track in WV. Yes, that's right a race track....You know NASCAR type stuff. So here we are dressed in our best jeans and I'm told I'm overdressed! The 10 minute ceremony contained a whole lot of "marriage is between a man and woman" stuff and "marriage is only for the procreation of children." Imagine how Andrew and I felt over this? Anyway....there were no chairs so we're all standing waiting for the bride. And then... NO music! So we started to hum the wedding march. Have you ever heard a group of drunk red-necks humming? Not pretty. Difficult to hear with the cigarettes and cigars hanging from their mouths. After the ceremony they climbed in the back of a pick up for a "lap around the track." Then the reception. It was across the "lot" at the workers camp site. Catered...sort of. Dry pork, some kind of chicken from a can (I think) but here's the real kicker... The dining table was the back of a flat bed truck! Not on the truck, but was the truck! YUCK! So we ate standing up holding on to our paper plates. When the gallon bottle of Jack Daniels was opened at the cake cutting, it was time to go...... The next day was spent enjoying a bit more cultured event, Wine In the Woods in Columbia. From NASCAR wedding to a wine tasting in Columbia....amazing weekend! Oh and as of last night I booked another show!! I'll be heading out to Wayside Theatre again to work on"Lying in State." This starts rehearsals June 20 and runs July 8-Aug 5. Just in time to start rehearsals for "Owen Meany." Today is my callback for "The Long Christmas Ride Home" at Studio Theatre in DC. If this comes through that will be three shows in a row. Fingers crossed!!!!

I'm REALLY Flattered

Remember back on my last blog I said how flattered I was to be called in to read for "Owen Meany?" Well, I'm REALLY flattered now....I got the role! Just spoke with Danisha at Round House and I will be playing the role of Dan Needham. Now, this is great for a lot of reasons. First always good to be working. BUT I'm finally going to work at a theatre that I have been trying to work with for the past 6 years! AND it's based on a John Irving novel. I'm rather found of John Irving's work. On an unusual note, I'll be playing a nice guy. Yep, not a villain this time! Now, there's the trip in NY. The film festival was "interesting." It didn't seem as organized as I feel it should have been. Anyway, met some great new friends. (Again, slow on the download of pictures). Met up with my good friends Nancy Robillard and her husband Vincent, Joanna Parson who played Gertie in "Noel and Gertie" with me last summer and our new friends Frank and Doug. Except for Andrew and I, everyone was meeting for the first time. From the way we were playing at dinner, you would think we'd known each other for years. Just fantastic! Then on Sunday the concierge at the hotel (BTW, the Roosevelt hotel is fabulous) got us second row seats for "Spamalot." I LOVE that show. Of course I'm a huge Monty Python fan, so it wasn't really a reach for me. Then dinner with Frank and Doug after the show. Again, we had so much fun we almost missed our train. Can't wait till we meet with them again sometime. We may even plan a trip together sometime. Who knows? Next week....callback for "The Long Christmas Ride Home" at Studio. That would be great as it would start rehearsals right after "Owen Meany" closes. Oh and today I had my audition for "The Foreigner" at Olney. Got a callback for the role of Froggy. Would have loved to do it, but "Owen Meany" is the same time! When it rains it pours!!

Atlantic City

Well, we made it back from Atlantic City and we managed to keep most of our money. We're not exactly big gamblers, so that was a pretty easy task to accomplish. Saw Bill Engvall in concert. Very funny, yet his material was very predictable. Lots of "toilet" humor. Potty jokes can be funny, just not lasting. So, all in all I was kinda disappointed with his show. Guess I expected much more. While in AC I got a call from Rep Stage! Now I haven't heard from them in almost 2 years, so this is good. Especially since they are the closest theatre to me. I've been called to audition for "Bach at Leipzig." Anyone know about this one? All I know about it is that it's a 1700's farce that's about German Organists. Guess I need to find a German accent before next week! Why they are casting so early I have no idea. The show opens March of 2007! Well we'll see....Next stop NY!!!

Small update

Well, looking at other blogs, I see that I'm not the only one who hasn't been on for a while... Anywho....Things remain at a standstill for the moment. Auditions have been good, yet not producing work. My audition for Round House was very good for "A Prayer for Owen Meany." Seems I was one of only three asked to read for the role. Which I find very flattering. I'd be even more flattered to get the job, but with someone like Andrew Long as my competition, I don't see much hope of that being a reality. Still, one should never loose hope! While at the EPA for Studio I was informed that I would be called back for "The Long Christmas Ride Home" for the role of the father/narrator. I'd love to get that, but I kinda want to do "A Christmas Carol" at Ford's. Of course, I haven't been offered anything there either, so we'll see who (if) offers me anything! While waiting for my audition at Round House I got a call from Olney, asking me to come in and read for the role of Froggy in "The Foreigner." Other friends have been called way before me so I thought for sure I was going to be passed by, but it seems I was wrong! Yea! Then it may have been just because I was seen at the performance of "Anything Goes" that made them think of me. Whatever, I'll happily take the audition. AND on the make-up front... We are currently in negotiation for a major film!!!!! Can't say any more on that just yet. Should it come through, I'll be sure to post about it. On the personal side of things, I have to thank Peter Boyer for getting us great seats for "Shenandoah" at Ford's. Not only were they great seats for a fantastic show, he took us backstage to meet Scott Bakula in his dressing room. Be still my heart!! Thank God I didn't embarrass myself. Of course Andrew was standing right beside me, so..... Last weekend was great as we headed up north to DE for the annual Spring Fling event that my best friend Lori hosts. It's a group of old friends from high school and college days. Always a lot of eating , drinking, playing games, drinking, conversation, drinking....Well you get the idea. Always a lot of fun! This weekend we're heading up to Atlantic City to see Bill Engvall in concert. He's the comedian who coined the phrase...."Here's your sign!" Then there's the New York Film Festival on May 6. Can't wait to finally see "Limits To Ambition" and on a screen in NY! Should be a blast!!!!

Biz is Pickin' Up

Well, after what seems like forever... I'm finally getting some callabcks on all those EPA's I've been to recently. The next one is for Round House Theatre in Bethesda. I've been called back to audition for "A Prayer for Owen Meany." I read it eons ago, but just bought the book (thank you Amazon.com) so I can re-read it before the audition on Tuesday. I'm up for the role of Dan Needham. I'd love to get it. Not only because it's a John Irving piece (well based on) but because it's at Round House. Been wanting to work there since I got into town! So for more fun, Andrew and I are going to see our good friend Ray Ficca at Olney Theatre in "Anything Goes." Then Thursday off to see good ole' Peter in "Shenendoah" with non other than Scott Bakula. Those who know me can imagine where my mind is!! WOOF! The make-up company is coming along. Now we have to find some models and a photographer willing to work for pictures (or food) so we can have some really decent photos for the website. Anyone interested??

Road Trip

Short blog today as I am exhausted from driving all weekend. All of it well worth it, but exhausting none-the-less. Then I was called in to the hospital at 4:30 am this morning and got back home around 8:30am so I can go back this evening at 4 pm. YUCK. Anyway....the "unofficial" premiere of "Nocturne" went very well with a very excited audience. I think the director was able to learn of few more things from this audience and will be making further edits to tighten the film. All in all, I am very honored to have been a part of it. I'd work with Marty Higareda any day. Then there was the drive all the way up to Wayside for the opening performance of "Searching for Eden; The Diaries of Adam and Eve." I've seen a few shows at Wayside and I've had the pleasure to be in two (so far) and I have to say... WOW! I know I seem to say that a lot about Wayside shows, but this time it's something very different. I don't mean to slight any other show (partiularly any of the ones I've been in) but this one is special. It's the first one I've seen that has teamwork all over it. The cast is fabulous. Larry Dahlke and Thomasin Savaiano are just PERFECT together as Adam and Eve. Warner Crocker's direction is flawless, as usual. And the set, costumes and lighting are just plain beautiful. All of these things I've seen happen individually before, but never in such a cohesive manner as this production. Makes me a bit jealous I'm not a part of it, but then I wouldn't have had the thrill to be in the audience! If you've never been to Wayside Theatre, this is the time to go. If you have, go back! It has to be one of the best I've seen there. It's going to be a tough act to follow for the next season! Well, enough. Hmm, I guess it wasn't as short as I thought is was going to be :-)

NY Film Festival

Wow, has it really been a month since I last posted? Well, life moves on. Saw "Smoke on the Mountain" out at Wayside over the weekend. FANTASTIC show. Had a really great time and always a plus to see friends working. We'll be going back out there on Sunday to see "The Diaries of Adam and Eve" Since I know both Adam and Eve (Larry in a dance belt should be worth the price of a ticket alone, and God knows what Thomasin will be or not be wearing) should be fun. And it's opening night. Yeah! This will be on the way home from Lynchburg, VA where Andrew and I will be attending the "unofficial" premiere of "Nocturne". A film I worked on years ago. Almost done!! So we're going to the "scene of the crime." The Federal Crest Bed & Breakfast where we shot the movie. Should be a blast to see everyone agian. More big news... The film "Limits to Ambition" will be showing at the New York Independent Film and Video Festival on May 6! I play a "not so nice guy" in this one. With any luck we could end up in Cannes! Fingers crossed!!!

Back from San Fran

So we're back from SanFrancisco! And I have new headshots. What do you think? Thanks so much to all my friends and co-actors helping me choose the right ones. Especially Warner and Thomasin! Oh Larry, does the shirt look familiar?
Now to SanFrancisco. Well worth the trip. Saw almost all the sites. If that's even possible in one week. Boy those hills! I just LOVE that city. Just being able to walk hand in hand on the street with my husband without worry....Just wonderful! Now Valentine's Day was not what I hoped it would be. The restaurant...sucked! Can we say pretentious? Over priced? Dinner was $125.00 per person. Yes, that's right $125.00 per person for a fixed menu. The choices were limited to four selections and only included a salad or soup, the entree and desert. Wine was $25.00 for 2 glasses of house wine. (should not be in SanFrancisco!) AND the waitress was hard to find. At $125.00 a plate I shouldn't have to ask for a spoon for my soup! Oh and appetizers ranged in price from $25.00 -$48.00! Then to make it all worse I have this allergy to peppers. So I got to choose from ONE entree. Let's just say it was small at best. Desert was good though and pretty. Then , since it was Valentine's Day they were giving little gift boxes of chocolate after the meal. Well, all the other tables did. NOT us! The waitress was too busy chatting with the staff at the bar! AND who wants loud techno-music for a romantic dinner? Well, enough about Mecca. The rest of the trip was fabulous! More about that next blog!

Memphis to San Fran

Well, I'm back from Memphis. Still trying to decide if it was worth the expense. I'll wait to what/if anything comes from it. Had three companies express interest. But some said they weren't sure they could hire equity actors this year. Makes me wonder. I understand why though...$$$$ Always comes down to that. Ah life! Anyway I got to spend some time with friends and I even made some new ones. So that's always a plus! Andrew and I are now off to a much needed vacation (especially for him) to SanFrancisco! I have a nice restaurant all reserved for Valentines Day in the heart of the Castro. I hope it's all I've heard it is. It's called Mecca and is supposed to be very nice. I'll let you know. I'll post when I get back and tell ya'll how it went.

Heading to Memphis!

So, I'm getting ready to fly out to Memphis tomorrow to attend the UPTA auditions. This will be my first time there and as you might expect I'm a little nervous. The best thing is I get to see some good friends while I'm there so I won't feel alone. Bad thing, I developed this really bad cold which is fine but I now sound like Barry White! While some may see this as sexy, it won't help me hit the F's and G's in many of the songs I may have to do. Oh well, it will be what it will be! Great news! Andrew has a new job!!! He starts the day we get back from San Francisco! So he's got a bit more than a week left at NASA and then off to San Fran for a week then to the new job. He'll be working for company called Keane and assigned to a job for NOAA. He'll be responsible for much more management and doing more "live" meteorology. So, that means no more research and no more NASA! The job also comes with a significant pay raise AND domestic partner benefits. Which means I'll now have health insurance all the time. Not just when I qualify from AEA. Another bonus, Keane has offices in LA, NY, Toronto and London. All possible cities we may end up in for my career. So, a transfer to one of those cities could be possible in the future. Time will tell. Well, off to prepare for the trip. I sure hope this is worth it. So many have told me it will. We'll see!

First Blog of 06

I can't believe that I haven't posted here since early December! Where does the time go? Christmas was great this year. We were able to host my family for Christmas eve in a formal dinning room! (A dream that I've had for some time now) We even managed to decorate our tree in colors that went with the pink room. Can't believe that happened, but it seemed to work. Andrew and I maanged to give each other the same gift this year! We've done it before and this wasn't any different. We gave each other black suits. Opened them at the same time even! I gave Andrew tickets for SanFrancisco too. We're heading out Feb. 11-19. I know he's looking forward to it as we'll get to see a long time friend of his.
Went a to a beautiful wedding at the Wayside Theatre. Good friends Eric and Jennifer were married on Jan 14 in the theatre with a lovely reception next door in the Curtain Call Cafe. It's really special to see how the theatre and staff all supported this wedding, doing everything to make it beautiful. My heart goes out to everyone there! It really shows why Wayside Theatre is so respected by so many performers, including myself.
Speaking of show business. Things have started to pick up! The year started with our annual AEA auditions in Olney. As well as working the auditions, I auditioned and managed to get a call back the next day for Woolly Mammoth Theatre Co. in DC. The callback went well and now it's the waiting game to see if I get to audition for the director! Just had another audition this morning for Round House Theatre in Bethesda. It was for a new musical being co-produced with the De. Theatre Co. in Wilmington. It's a country show. They had me try to sing a tenor role! Yes, this baritone was trying his best, but I don't think it really worked. But it was fun all the same. Hey, you never know!
Getting ready to head off to Memphis to attend the UPTA auditions. This is a national audition for lots of different companies. Time to spread out a bit! We'll see what happens. I'll really need the trip to SanFrancisco after all this!
Meanwhile, we've picked back up on the creation of our new make-up company. We had a great meeting yesterday and should have our website up in the next month or two. Amazing how you think you have all these great pictures, then when you really look at them, not so! So we'll have to take some new ones. Anyone want to volunteer to be a model? Anyone know a photographer willing to volunteer?
Well, that should catch everything up in an abridged sort of way.
Hopefully I'll be able to post a bit more frequently!

Back from Vegas

Well, I made it back from Vegas and still had a little cash left in my pocket! Not really a gambler as Lori will testify to. Won some "stuff" though. A cute white tiger and a denim jacket from Riviera Casino! Woo Hoo! Barry Manilow's show wasn't half bad either. Talk about screaming women, yikes! We managed to do a lot together while we were there. Saw a bunch of shows, including a great magic show. Lori thinks the magician was firting with me. Well, he did sign my poster after the show :-)
Did the whole Star Trek Experience as well as the behind the scenes tour. That was really cool. I almost got a job there as a character, but then we discovered it was non-union. Ah well. So close, yet so far.
Now it's time to get ready for the holidays. LOTS of wrapping to do. Lots of cookies to bake. We can honestly say that all our shopping is done! Yea! We'll be hosting my family for Christmas Eve dinner. We started this tradition a few years ago and we love it. We feature a different country each year. This year it's Ireland! Always a treat to make the nephews try something new! If they don't try it, they don't get presents. I know, mean Uncles! But hey, it works.
Well, I know I won't have a chance to blog before Chrsitmas, so Happy Holidays to everyone and a Happy Prosperous New Year!

Good Show!

Had a great time last night. Of course it was wierd that Sanata insisted that I sit on his lap. Then he asked me to put my arm around his shoulder. I was trying not to put all my weight on him so he told me to relaxe! Then just as the picture was being taken....his hand is on my butt! Yes, I got a little Christmas Goose early. Of course he wanted to know what I wanted for Christmas. After that, what could I say? My best friend Lori has won tickets to a Barry Manilow concert. Yes, that's right Barry Manilow. She's a huge fan, I ...well, I like most of his music. So, we're flying out of Phildaelphia (she lives in Delaware) on Saturday morning. We'll be staying at the Las Vegas Hilton for three nights! The concert is on Monday and tapeing for a PBS special. The only other time I was in Las Vegas was for my 40th birthday. Andrew took me and we had a great time. This will actually be the first time Lori and I have traveled completely alone. This should be fun and maybe we could get into trouble. We'll have to keep an eye on each other. I'm not really a big gambler, but it would be nice to win some extra cash for the holidays!!
Lori and I had a wonderful time, as usual on our annual holiday shopping day last week. Can we say TAX FREE SHOPPING!!!! Gotta love shopping in Delaware! W even did something we've said we were going to do for years. We had our picture taken with Santa. Pretty cool for a Jewish woman and a 43 year old man! Not to mention I was "goosed" by Santa while sitting on his lap. When I figure out how to scan my picture for postin I'll be sure to put it here. Very funny!
Planning to get out to see "A Christmas Story" out at Wayside soon. We're going to try for the 21st.
Tomorrow night heading out to see Monica in "Oliver" out at Olney. Funny, but all the times I've auditioned there, I've never actually seen a show there! Should be fun and we're meeting up with Thomisin and Larry. Should be fun!!!

Holidays

WOW, what a weekend! It was great to have four long days with Andrew. We got so much accomplished this weekend. The guest bedroom will be done today! Just have to put the last coat of paint on the door and it's done.
We re-arranged the furniture so we now have room for the Christmas tree in the living room. We should be getting that on Sunday. I love the holidays. It always feels good to get the house festive and to have family and friends stop by. That's a BIG hint for all of you...
Bob's Mom is doing well following her surgery so we can get back on track with the company. We have a meeting scheduled for Thursday. Lots to do there.
Going shopping with my best friend Lori (that's Lori and her dog Daisy in the picture) on Tuesday. Hope we don't drink too much at lunch this year. God knows what we'll buy!
Well, gotta get to that door!

moving along

Well, things are progressing slowly with the new company. We had a bit of a delay, as Bob's Mom just had surgery for Breast CA and he's having a hard time dealing. But all will work out in time.
Still no auditions, though I did get a callback for "USA" at American Century Theatre. I auditioned for it months ago and the callback is on the 28th. The same night as our local AEA membership meeting. Go figure! Hopefully they'll see me on another day? If not, well the AEA only auditions are coming in January and I have my plane ticket to go to UPTA in February in Memphis! Should be fun.
The guest bedroom is almost done. I'll post pictures when it is. Perhaps we'll get it finnished this weekend.
Going to Andrew's Mom's for Thanksgiving with my parents. We are so lucky that our folks not only get along, but actually LIKE each other! We are blessed!
Happy Turkey day to you all!

back again

Well, I've been away from this again for too long. So here I am again. Went to Wayside last night and saw a fantastic performance of "Slueth." With Ray Ficca and Bill Largess, how could it be anything but? Great job guys! It was good to see some old friends again after "Killer Angels." Even though most of them were too "tired" to socialize after the show. Missed Warner (where did you go?) Thanks to Wade, Theresa and Larry (yes, Larry showed up!: WHOO HOO!). It was good to re-meet Richard too! Nice to have a Guinness at the Pub. Didn't think I missed that, but I guess I did. A few friends seemed a little "distanced" though? Perhaps just my perception (always a possibility with me). Perhaps it was they changed my make-up design for a character in the show? Of which is fine with me. As a make-up artist you have to be willing to see changes. The director has to go with what they think works. AND I wasn't there for tech, so I have no idea how the change came about. Not that it matters. Of course I would have preferred to have been informed before I saw the show, but even still not a problem for me.
Speaking of make-up... Big news here. The blog is going to start a new path. I'm going to plot out the creation of a new company. Yep, I'm in the process of starting a new company! My good friend Bob Yoho, who is a great special effects make-up artist and I are joining forces to create a full service make-up company. Most of my experience is with stage and his is with film, so we have a great team coverage there. Plus I do more in the line of Fashion work and he does far more work in special effects. So we compliment each others talents and experience very well. Stay tuned for more information as we develop the company. After all, we're just getting started!
The photo above is Bob applying Devlin The Destroyer to me for the film "Sorcerer of Stonehenge School."

nothing much

Well there's not much to write now. I wanted to post something as I haven't done so for a while. Been working at the hospital EVERY day. I guess it's better than waiting tables. No offense to waiters/waitresses. We'll be working on the guest bedroom this weekend. Currently it's a light grey-blue. We're going with a sage color with a wash of Opal. We'll see how THAT turns out. Trying not to do anything too challenging after the dining room. Yes, Abigail you can help! Any HGTV junkie is welcome.
Really wanting to get out to Wayside and catch "Slueth." We're going to try for the 11th.
We're supposed to have our "mover's dinner" on the 12th. That all depends if the furniture actually shows up. They keep calling to say another piece has arrived, but it's damaged so we have to re-order. Though I appreciate that they don't deliver damaged goods... I want out dining room furniture!!!
OH and BIG news. The film "Nocturne" is having a private viewing on the 13th!!! It's been 4 years since we filmed it. I don't think I remember what it's about :-)
Well till next time
BIG HUGS

HELP, I've been SPAMED!

Well, it seems my blog was spammed! How annoying! Who knows how to stop this online abuse and terrorism. Can I hunt these fools down and slap them silly? I certainly would like to. If you know how to bkock spam on a blog, please let me know. I'm not the most computer-literate person. BUT I can learn. :-)
Since the close of "Killer Angels" I have been working almost everyday at the hospital. I am so tired. It's not that I don't like nursing anymore, it's just I want to be spending all of my working time performing! Yea, the Operating Room is considered a theatre, but hey, let's get real, I like the spotlight! I have a very hard time sharing it with a Surgeon. :-)
Been feeling a bit down lately too. Thought it was just post-show blues, but there may be more to it. Perhaps it's the fact that I have nothing scheduled, no auditions coming up and I haven't heard from any of my agents in over 8 months? This business is all feast or famine. Well, it's certainly famine time and I'm starving! Yea, something will come up. It always does. I just hope I'm still sane when it does!
